Coach Luis Casco began his Muay Thai journey in 2008 with humble beginnings, training in a basement under a highly skilled instructor. Despite the modest setting, this early experience sparked a deep connection with the sport. After a brief hiatus, he resumed training in 2009 at North Jersey Muay Thai (NJMT) in Lodi, NJ, where he discovered the true essence of Muay Thai: family.

 

Under the leadership of Kru Joe Bumanlag and Kru Ray Cruz, NJMT became a cornerstone of his development. Known for producing top competitors and champions with over 30 years of expertise at the time, NJMT provided Coach Luis Casco with invaluable training alongside some of the best practitioners in the region. He honed his skills and deepened his passion through the influence of esteemed teammates.

 

In 2014, after leaving NJMT, Coach Luis Casco relocated to Washington State. He briefly trained with Anupong Sahin Srisuk in Tacoma, WA, which reignited his desire to remain active in Muay Thai. His journey continued at Ruffhouse (formerly ELITE) in Renton, WA in 2015, where his passion for teaching and helping others improve became a driving force.

In 2025, Coach Luis Casco founded Scratch Line Muay Thai in Seattle with a mission to grow the Muay Thai community and empower others through the art. His approach is rooted in a belief that a strong sense of family provides a foundation for success. Drawing from personal experiences of overcoming hardship, he emphasizes commitment and dedication as pathways to achieving greatness in both life and sport.

 

With a lifelong dedication to Muay Thai and a passion for building a supportive community, Coach Luis Casco remains focused on fostering personal growth, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence.
